Caritas maralal through the VCA-SICRACC project, conducted a two day community dialogue in Samburu North (Ngilai village) on climate change and future of pastoralism. Discussed, were issues on Climate change awareness, cause and effects, the future of pastoralism and local solutions to climate change.
The climax of the community conversation was development of community action plans to guide their development agenda.

The community came to a conclusion of adopting controlled grazing system that to promote pasture regeneration

Caritas Maralal through its disaster emergency response project funded by CAFOD distributed food stuff i.e maize flour, beans ,sugar,rice, cooking Oil,cabbages and nutritious food (for pregnant and lactating women) to community members from Keleswa and Terter villages. The organization aims to join hands with other partners and stakeholders in relieving the most vulnerable households from the pangs of the ongoing drought menace.
